Colton's 8, Happy Birthday!!

Colton Turned 8 while we were in Bear Lake at our family reunion. I can not believe how the time flys so fast. He is getting so big, and he will be getting baptized next month. We had cake and ice cream for him but we gave him his present before we left because he got a new bike.

Swim lessons

Colton and Kylee had swimming lessons this summer and they did awsome. Last year they were afraid to do hardly anything. This year they were jumping off the divingboard and swimming all over the place. Kylee has turned into a fish, she is so funny to watch splash all over as she is kicking. I am so proud of them for going past their fear of water and doing so well.

24th of July at the Lake

Jeanna and Jeremy invited us to go to the lake for the 24th of July. We all had tons of fun!! It was fun to watch my kids in the water and how much more comfortable they are then they were last year. Kylee got on the tube and absolutly loved it, Colton was swimming around the boat and did't flip out when he got thrown off the tube and was in the water by himself, and Shaylyn wake boarded for the first time. It only took her 4 trys and she was up and doing awsome. Thanks Jeanna and Jeremy for taking us.

Horse Riding

We went for our first ride up the Mountains this year. The kids absolutly LOVE riding and they are doing so good with their horses.

Colton is riding our youngest horse Maggie. She is only two but is doing awsome. Thanks Jim and Brandy for giving her to us!!

Grandpa and Grandma Jense came with us and we stopped for a little snack before heading down. When we got to the meadow there was a bull moose there but it took off so quickly we barely had time to look at it.

We also hiked to a waterfall that Jeron thinks is the one painted in the mural at the Draper Temple. It was so beautiful and everything was so green. I love being in the mountains in the spring time when everything is so green and all the wildflowers are growing.

Kylee Pre-School Graduation

Kylee and Ms Jeanna (Aunt Jeanna)

Kylee and Ms Heather

My little girl is growing up!! Kylee graduated from Pre-school this year and will be going to kindergarten this fall. I can not believe how big my kids are getting. By next year all of my kids will be in school all day.

Moab Half Marathon

Girls Just wanna have FUN!! Hiking in Moab.

We had plans for the whole family to make a little trip in Moab the weekend of my race but Jeron ended up having to stay home and plant hay fields so Shaylyn and I went together. It was fun spending some one on one time with her and to hang out with friends for the weekend. Shaylyn was at the finish line to cheer me on.

Ready or not!! Morning of race, it was a cold morning but warmed up quick. This was my first half marathon and was just hoping to finish it without killing myself. I finished in 2 hours and 9min. My goal for the Hobble Creek half in August is to finish it in under 2 hours. Jeron tells me I am crazy for running, but it is something that I have always liked doing and have always said that some day I would run a marathon......Well I am not getting any younger so now is the time. I drew out for St George marathon this October and have a goal to do it in 4 hours

Natural Bridges

On our way home from Fry Canyon we stopped at Natural Bridges and hiked from one brige to the next. It was a lot of fun and the kids did awsome, none of them complained the whole trip about being too tired to keep hiking even though we hiked alot. Even Kylee with her shrimpy legs did all of it by herself.

Our Family at one of The Natural Bridges

Kylee is always posing for the camera

All of us on the way home. We stopped at the look out where the Green River dumps into Lake Powell.

Moon House Ruins

Wall art at the Ruins

This was how they built the ruins thousands of years ago, it is amazing to see that they are all still there.

This is the full moon in one of the rooms. It was on a wall with a half moon and a bunch of dots that people figure they used it like a calendar

One of the houses in the cliffs

Poor Jasper did not like having to be lifted up all the rocks. It is so sad to see her getting older and struggling to keep up with us

Camping Easter Weekend

Easter weekend we went to Fry Canyon to the Moon House Indian Ruins with the Beckstrom's , Hansen's, and Grandpa and Grandma Jense. The kids had so much fine hiking into the ruins. We had to do alot of climbing up and down rocks that the kids and the Dogs (especially Jasper) had to have help climbing. It was one of theose trips with the cousins that they will tak about for a long time.

All of the cousin that were on the trip posing for a picture

We did some shooting while at camp

The first thing Dexter and Colton did was build a jump (with Jeremy's help) so they could see how high they could get their motorcycles

Cruise last days at sea

We had 2 full days at sea on the way back from the Islands. Jeron and the rest of the guys took advantage of the flow rider and got fairly good at surfing, while my sisters and I enjoyed laying in the sun napping and reading.
The guys also had some pretty some pretty good wipe outs

Our last night on the boat was Valentines day, the guys scored big time. We went up and watched the sun set, it was so incredible! Then we went to a nice dinner, and went dancing. I think the guys are going to have to think hard next year to top that off.

Our waitress, Alishia, is from Trinidad. She was very nice and alot of fun. The food was amazing, there was new things every night that you could choose between and we would all end up eating more than you could imagine after we tried everything that Alisha brought us. I was really worried about how much weight I would gain after eating the first night but after that I got sick and my stomach never let me eat more than a few bites every night so I guess that was my bodies way of helping me not put on the pounds. Everybody said we had to get a picture of us together because there was such a difference in height between the two of us.

Jorge was our dive insructor, he was awsome! He helped each one of us get over our fears and get us in the water scuba diving. He saved a baby girl from drowning in the pool when we were all on the bottom of the pool. He is from Venesuela and wants to someday open his own dive shop back home. Hopefully he will and we can all go diving with him again in Venesuela. Jeron gave him a book of Mormon with his testimony in it when we left. Hopefully we made an imprssion on him and he will investigate the church.

Cruise St Thomas & St Martin

St Martin- Jeron and I did some shopping, they have tiny little streets that are paved with brick and little out door shops that you can walk around. Most of the stuff they sold there were repeats of everything you saw and was made anywhere but there, but we were able to find some neet necklaces for the girls that were mother of pearl sea shells carved into sea turles and I also got a neet necklace and braclet that were made from coconut shells. We also were able to eat some fresh coconut and had a coconut smoothie that was soo good.

The beach in St Martin was very nice, lots of people and a few that choose to sun bathe in the nude.

In St Martin we took a small boat out in the ocean to do our open water dives to finish our scuba certification. When we got there we all got suited up and learned how to step off the boat with all our gear on. I was a little scary at first knowing that you were stepping off a boat in the middle of the ocean with gear on that was very heavy thinking that there was know way that you could stay afloat but amazingly we did float! Our dive instructor took Jeanna and Jeremy and Jeralyn and Clay down 25 feet to a platform and the visibility was so bad that they couldn't see a foot in front of them so he decided that it was too dangerous for us all to go down and had to cancel the dive. We were all very disappointed but knew he was doing it for our saftey. Now we all have to find an instructor that will help us finish our dives so that we will be certified

ST Martin

In St Thomas we took a taxi to Coki Beach to do some snorkeling and soak up the sun. It was a beautiful day and the water was so clear and blue. Jeron and I snorkeled for the first time and it was so awsome!! We were able to see some cool fish in the water that were swimming right by us. We also was able to see 3 octopus that were way cool. Jeron and I talked about how much Shaylyn would love to snorkel and that we would never be able to get her out of the water.

Jeron looks pretty hot all suited up in his snorkeling gear!
